2010, Nice to Know You, Goodbye:)

Yeah, I know. Your facebook page and updates has been infested with new year resolutions, what-I-did-in-2010-and-what-I-want-to-do-in-2011 stories.

Some made a monthly summary of 2010. Some listed down advice and wisdom that they have gathered throughout their entire lives till today.

For me, 2010 has been a blur. Not because it went too fast, but because I have been through SO MUCH last year. From finding myself to heartbreak to meeting new inspiring people to discovering love to learning more about the real world to learning how to express gratitude and to becoming a better person.

I realized a lot of things:

1. Everyone has their own stories. Learn from them.
2. Every year is a chapter. You will evolve into deeper self-discovery.
3. The value of family. Not even all the sperms in this world added up can live up to that value.
3a. The older you get, the less friends you have (which is a good thing because nature sheds-Please read previous blog and quote taken from TF). Real friends are more valuable than all the gems in this world.
5. In order to know what you want, you first have to discover what you don't want.
6. Leave the past behind and look forward. The past is a lesson and a part of your journey to happiness, not a prison.
7. You are the boss of your life. You are the master of your mind. Dare to live your dreams. No one else is going to make it happen but you.
8. It's about time that you do something about your dreams. The moment doubt or worry enters your head, kill it faster than a bullet. You dictate your mind. Don't let your mind dictate you.
9. Love is beautiful. The walls just prevent you from being free. So I've learned. Learn to give unconditionally. You have nothing to lose. But first, learn to love yourself and be comfortable and content in your own skin.
10. God knows best. You are where you are today because He knows what's best for you. Be grateful.

I hope I don't sound too preachy. Just want to share.

To a kick-ass 2011 everyone!

Cheers!
